In this week long introduction to the portrait sketch in oil paints, you will be shown alla prima painting techniques for quickly gaining an accurate likeness, a fullness of form, and color harmony. The versatility of the step by step techniques explored during the week are easily applied to either the painterly or more refined aesthetic and will further advance your repetoire of skill within more formal arrangements of portrait painting . A suitable course for anyone wishing to build upon their knowledge and improve their abilities.
