Each step will have a specific focus that will help the student simplify shape, form and color to achieve an accurate likeness of the model. All day session: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
Tuition: $295 (30 hours)
Classes are open to ages 13-17. Students of all artistic backgrounds are welcome.
Art Richmond's young adult classes emphasize the development of observational and rendering skills. Fundamentals of representing form with line and value, basics of perspective, and principles of light and shadow will be introduced as the student progresses.
Projects include: rendering basic shapes in graphite and charcoal, plaster cast drawings, self portraits and still life.
Course material is varied between sessions. Sessions may be repeated. Returning students will be offered more challenging exercises, building on previously mastered concepts.
